Description: ASK Power’s Heavy Duty Flag Terminals incorporate crimp barrels that are perpendicular to the tang/studhole centerline and can be crimped or soldered. These terminals are formed from high-purity annealed copper with heavy duty walls and are available in copper or tinned with Military Spec. plating to provide excellent ductility & conductivity, a secure fit and superior tang strength. Our Flag Terminals accommodate wire sizes 4 Gauge through 4/0 AWG. The crimp barrels are sized to closely match commercial battery and power cable strand diameters. They are suitable for crimped or soldered wire connection. Wire gauge is clearly marked on the wire barrel.

- Standard product does not incorporate “Braized Barrel Joint”, for Braized Joint add “BZ” to Part Number.

Recommended Uses: These flag terminals are used for power transmission and/or grounding in automotive or transformer applications. Where a grounding or power connection is needed within a cable run, flags are often used by fitting the barrel over a stripped section of cable, thus allowing termination perpendicular to the cable.
Tooling and Application: Crimp lugs can be applied to cable via hand-actuated or hydraulic crimp tools. Our Heavy Duty Butt Splices are UL Listed (UL 486 A) utilizing the Thomas and Betts M5 tool or the Burndy tool. These same lugs can be connected by solder-dipping. Double crimp provides superior pullout resistance. First crimp for stranding pullout barrel lugs; double crimp for watertight connection.
